An integral part of any sound backing up strategy should incorporate offsite backups to safeguard against potential local disasters including theft, flood and fire to name but a few. There are of course various ways to achieve this including mirroring data on a remote office resource through an available WAN link.
However, there are times when it is more practical to simply make a backup onto physical media (DLT, Ultrium etc.) and remove it from the premises. This is the tape storage service we offer.
Quite simply, you supply us with a schedule, perhaps in the form of a spreadsheet or using our online scheduler, of the daily items you require. We will then follow this schedule and you will receive a daily delivery / collection, ensuring you always have the relevant day's items. Should you wish to amend a day's delivery it is simply a matter of visiting the customer area of our website or alternatively emailing or calling us with the required change.
If disaster does strike, a call to our 24 hours a day, 365 days a year emergency line is all it takes to have your backup media returned to your standby offices or other requested location within two hours.
Our purpose built facilities provide secure and confidential environments and have been built to exceed the specification laid out in BS4783 for tape storage. We have a strict employee only access policy and our fire and security alarm systems are central station linked. Our facilities' windows are steel shuttered and all sites are detached and security fenced.
