How Standard is a 'Standard Box'?
"The good thing about standards is that there are so many to choose from", goes the tongue in cheek expression when referring to the information technology industry when it fails to comply with a common standard. Archive boxes suffer from the same industry variety which is why it is important to establish exactly what the dimensions are of the 'Standard Box' your business is paying, or has been quoted, to store.
Archive storage is almost always charged on a 'per box' basis making the dimensions of that box critical in calculating the budgeting and capacity planning of a business's document storage. The ATIX standard box has been designed to provide our customers with one of the largest capacities in the industry. In fact, we have found our box to hold anywhere up to 20% more documentation than some of our competitors' standard boxes, equating to a very significant cost saving when comparing box storage prices.
The other area we focussed on when designing the box was strength. As with size, it is quite common to find "economy" boxes that look ideal in photographs but in reality quickly deteriorate and need replacing. The HPF flute board we use is amongst the most robust you will find in a document storage box ensuring that an ATIX box will last for the life of the documents it holds.
